Helen Wang

me as a human

I have a spectacular partner, two beautiful kiddos (now 4 and 6), a pouty pup, and a cuddly cat. I’m getting back into running because if we ever have a zombie apocalypse, I want to have some hope that I’m not the slowest person around during a last minute on-foot escape. I am powered by sunshine, so you’ll find me outside hanging out with my family, playing tennis, or arms deep in dirt with my plants in my spare time!

core beliefs in life and work

Be honest and authentic in everything I do

I am open about my own own strengths and growth areas, speak up and solution when I see problems, and offer a sincere ear when others need it. For better or worse, my face is an open book, so I’ve found it best to be candid, factual, and honest at all time. :)

Communicate clearly so everyone is on the same page

When asking someone to do something or being asked to do something, I make sure it’s clear what the ask is, why it’s important, and when it is needed by so that I can ensure expectations are clear and that everyone’s time is valued. I also ask a ton of questions!

Ask for feedback because that is how we grow

I assume best intent and see feedback as a way to grow. I am not afraid of constructive criticism and I am willing to put in the time to learn everything I can from the people around me.

Treat others how I would want to be treated

Treat others as you’d like to be treated. That and the itsy bitsy spider song are my two key take-aways from Kindergarten and they have served me well in life and motherhood.
